Social Enterprise
Coomaditchie's Social Enterprise is about building sustainable income streams that keep our work independent and community-led. Alongside our gallery and artist sales, we're developing our own range of products, including mugs, notebooks, textiles and magnets, and printing our own Dreaming Stories. These are all available now through our online store, opening them up to a national audience.
We're also growing through collaboration, partnering with like-minded businesses and organisations to create products, share knowledge and open new markets for our artists and our community. Through WorkFoundations, we teach and train community members in the skills needed to run this enterprise, from production to retail to online sales, building real capacity within Coomaditchie so this work can be sustained and grown by our own people.
By diversifying how we generate income and investing in the people who make it happen, we're building an enterprise that's resilient, connected and firmly grounded in community. Our collaboration with Scrub Turkey has brought Coomaditchie artwork onto a range of scrubs, now worn as uniform by organisations like Waminda. We've also partnered with Bush to Bowl, strengthening ties across a growing network of First Nations-led businesses.
